However, the restaurant industry is resilient. Despite the monumental changes that overwhelmed us at times, we persevered.
At Total Touch, we spent the year doing what we could to help our restaurant owners and Dealers through the crisis and planning enhancements for our solution. Now that the new year is upon us, I’d like to share some of the opportunities, technological advancements, and innovative expansions coming to Total Touch in 2021.
Here’s what you can expect to see from us in the coming year:
1. Contactless Ordering and Payments
Coming this year on top of our existing tablet Order and Pay at the Table feature will be advances in
NFC (Near Field Communications),
mobile ordering &
online ordering, and delivery options with every major door-to-door service (DoorDash, GrubHub, etc.). In addition, we will incorporate more user-friendly Order and Pay at the Table and QR code devices and services.
2. New Products & Technological Advances
In the coming year, our
PAX, Datacap, and USAePay integrations will continue to ramp up Total Touch’s ability to deploy innovations and increase the variety of peripherals we can offer to meet your needs.
We will be introducing more robust
Split Tab and Split Check at the Table adjustments along with features to simplify end of day operations for servers. This will also create a more user-friendly interface for management to monitor their employees’ discount vouchers and tip adjustments.
Our new SQL database will speed up our ability to respond to hot fixes and quickly deploy new program modifier needs from our reseller network. We anticipate that our response times will be lightning fast and well above what the competition can offer.
As restaurant owners continue to face
economic and workforce challenges, we will deploy new profit enhancing programs. These will include social network marketing and popular “Dual Pricing Program” and Surcharge capabilities.
3. Value-Added Offerings
We will officially be launching the Total Touch Essential Elements Bundle in 2021. These bundles, created in partnership with CRS, will be followed by additional vendor enhancement offerings. Our goal in this partnership is to assist our resellers and the restaurants they serve with selling and purchasing through CD Financial leasing and our Cash Advance Funding products.
We will also introduce our “ItsACheckMate” interface in 2021. This comes equipped with special API enhancements to empower our delivery services and mobile/online ordering to include communication, content management, and restaurant kitchen control.
4. Security Enhancements
Because our peripheral interfaces are equipped with the latest crypto and NFC (mobile wallet) technology, EMV communications will remain at the top of our security food chain.
There’s a large need for reliable WiFi equipment communication in today’s socially distant climate. Therefore, we will ensure our resellers and their customers have access to the latest technology and recommendations for contactless communications. These include, but are not limited to:
We will strive to stay as many steps ahead of white and black hat hackers as possible. Fortunately, because we are considered “Out of Scope” for PA-DSS and do not store any credit card data, it is impractical for cyber criminals to risk punishment for a non-existent reward.
Above all in 2021, the Total Touch team will continue to be here for you and do all we can to help your business thrive. As always, it is our distinct pleasure to serve you and your restaurant.
