Analyze Sales Data and Reports

  • Group Sales — Pull this report to analyze sales based on group name (i.e. beer, liquor, wine, etc.). It’s a great report to run for a bird’s eye view of your most and least profitable groups.
  • Hourly Sales — This report gives you a breakdown of sales by quarter and half hours. It also provides helpful data such as: percent of sales, average sale per customer, and customer counts. This report will be especially useful when planning work schedules and ingredient lists.
  • Item Sales — Use this report to analyze sales of individual items. It allows you to compare item quantity, cost, and profit.
  • Modifier Item Sales — This report will show you a true cost analysis of your current modifiers, such as quantity sold, purchase amount, cost, and profit margin. This is a convenient way to track profit margin for add-ons such as extra sauce, cheese, bacon, and more. You can also pull a Modifier Item Sales by Group report, which provides the same information separated by group.

Overview and Detailed Discounting Reports

  1. Discount By Group — This report provides a broad overview of all discounts applied to a sale. It’s a great resource for bookkeeping and accounting.
  2. Discount Details — Access this report for a granular view of all discounts used in a selected time period. Details include: item description, quantity of discounts applied to the item, base price, sold price, employee who applied the discount, and the manager who approved it (if applicable).

Review detailed transaction info

  • Captured Account Numbers — Use this report to track invoice data, including: invoice number, the employee who accepted payment, the payee, amount, and total sale amount.
  • Electronic Journal — This report offers a comprehensive view of every transaction. It tracks the item sold, time, void status, quantity, table/tab number, the employee who opened the sale, and the employee who closed the sale.
  • Paid In/Out Details — Use this report to keep track of miscellaneous operating expenses such as light bulbs, plumbers, landscaping, and more. It tracks type of payment, a description, and the information of the employee who signed off on the expense.
  • Sales Tax Exempt Detail — Especially if you work with schools, churches, or other non-profit groups in your community, this report will be helpful. It breaks down all the information you need to know for tax exempt sales, including the date and time of transaction, type of sale, and organization’s tax ID.
